Jae-yi loses a case due to a judge with bias against women. She confronts him but is insulted and ends up assaulting him. She is suspended as a lawyer for six months and fired from her job, forcing her to return to Kisung. Sang-pil receives a book with details on the crimes of those in power Kisung. He informs Dae-woong that he will go back to Kisung because of Jae-yi and also to avenge his mother. In Kisung, Sang-pil learns a loan shark firm run by Keum Kang is located in the old office of his mother.

He is visited by Maggie and Hayley, and Izzy reveals that she has broken up with Rae, who was paid to steal the contract. He apologizes to Lorna, and they recruit con man Sam Scales to draw Grant out of hiding with the fake sale of a painting, serving Grant a subpoena instead. While there were some predictable aspects of this series, the cast was really colorful and high energy, which is what honestly sold me on the show. Episode 2 drew me in and by episode 4 I was hooked...
